SORs - more exemptions sought

An article in the Times yesterday Gay tourist hotels fear equality law tells of an unintended consequence of the proposed Sexual Orientation Regulations. Gay hoteliers are opposed to the SORs because they fear being put out of business if they are obliged to accept heterosexual couples as guests. There is also an article about this on the BBC website: Gay rights bill 'threatens hotel'

Peter Tatchell and Stonewall are pretty annoyed with the hoteliers and insist they are making a fuss about nothing. Given that Stonewall seem to have fairly free access to Number 10, what's the betting that some compromise is reached whereby gay hoteliers can get round the law?
